Skooli Booking
- The regularity with which you are online and available is the most important determinant of how many session requests you receive. When new student requests assistance, they expect it right away. Be accessible to accept new immediate tutoring requests while online.
- Make a 30- to 60-second profile video to introduce yourself.
- To help develop a great profile rating, be prepared with the subject of your tutoring sessions and be friendly and supportive with your students.
- After a successful session, provide a comment for your students with a description of what was covered and a suggestion for future topics to encourage them to book with you again.
- Always login to your account, the level of your visibility will increase in Skooli search results.
Skooli Cancellation Policy
Skooli Cancellation and no-show policy:
- You will be reimbursed for 15 minutes of tutoring time if your student cancels a tutoring session less than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Similarly, if a student does not arrive in the classroom within the first 15 minutes of a scheduled session, you will receive 15 minutes of tutoring time. - If you cancel a tutoring session between 1 and 12 hours before the scheduled start time, Skooli will subtract $3.00 from your total cashout balance.
- If you cancel a tutoring session less than one hour before the scheduled start time, Skooli will take $10.00 from your overall cashout balance.
- If you do not show up for the session, as shown by being missing for the first 15 minutes of a scheduled session, your overall cashout balance on Skooli will be decreased by $10.00.
- Skooli will issue numerous warnings to tutors who have a lot of late or no-show fees on their accounts before they are completely removed from the site.
Late Policy:
- Skooli will deduct $3.00 from your earnings if you are more than 10 minutes late for a tutoring session.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late, your student may choose to cancel the session entirely.
You will be charged $10.00 if they chose to do so.
This amount will not be charged to you, but it will be taken from your overall Skooli cashout balance. - Tutors must wait for late students for 15 minutes.
- If your student arrives late, you will be paid for the entire session, including the time you spent waiting.
- Tutors receive 15 minutes for their wait time if your student does not show up for the planned session within the first 15 minutes. They can then exit/cancel the session.
- If you opt to wait past the 15-minute threshold for your student and the student enters the session, you will be paid for the whole scheduled session, including the time spent waiting.

Skooli Application Process
- Government-issued ID
- a copy of their most recent diploma or transcripts
- If appropriate, copies of any teaching licenses (e.g., state/provincial licensing or a language certificate like TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc)
- A criminal background check within the last six months
You can always submit these papers later if you don't have them on hand when you first create your profile.
The most important thing a new tutor registrant should do is fill out their tutor profile completely, including all grade levels and subjects you can tutor, as well as all languages you can speak.
You can do this by going to My Profile > "My Subjects".
If you meet the requirements to become a Skooli tutor, you will be contacted through email to schedule a video interview within a few days after completing your profile.
You will be given extra information on Skooli and the online classroom, as well as asked some teaching-related interview questions, during the interview.
Your account will be authorized and you will be able to start receiving tutoring requests on Skooli platform only when you have passed the interview and had all of your relevant documents verified.
Not every application can be approved, just like any other employment.
If you are not approached for an interview immediately away, you may still be contacted later depending on our students' current needs.
