Hoya Insurance Agency Inc. is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you’ll be customers' first point of contact, helping them with inquiries, claims, and general insurance-related concerns. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring client satisfaction and resolving issues in a timely, professional manner.
This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for customer service, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to navigate high-pressure situations with a calm and efficient approach. We value bilingual candidates, especially those proficient in Mandarin or Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: You will assist customers with inquiries, issues, and general requests via phone, email, and occasionally fax.
- Order Management: Create and manage sales orders from customer purchase orders.
- In-Person Service: Greet customers coming in for will-call or pickup.
- Customer Relations: Develop strong working relationships with both new and long-standing clients.
- Issue Resolution: Follow up with customer requests and resolve any outstanding concerns.
- Data Management: Enter customer data, including order details, into our system accurately.
- Multi-tasking: Perform additional duties as needed, including various forms of administrative support.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a customer support role. Experience in call centers, insurance, or sales is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and general data entry.
- Problem-solving: Ability to navigate challenging customer scenarios, from managing complaints to juggling multiple inquiries.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills are essential. Active listening, tone of voice, and proper word choice are key.
- Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in English is required, and bilingual proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different types of customers and situations, while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented: High attention to detail, especially in managing numbers and data entry tasks.
